Are there Branding Studios in that specialize in my business needs?

Yes. There are branding studios that specialize by challenge, not just by sector. At By Grá Design, we do strategic branding for founders and service businesses whose image does not yet reflect what they actually offer. Specialization is not about style: it means understanding how your client makes decisions, what builds trust in your market, and where your real difference lies.
What does it actually mean for a studio to specialize in your type of business?
"Specialized" does not mean a studio only works with restaurants or law firms. It means they understand your client's decision-making process, the visual codes that work in your market, and when a brand identity is communicating the right thing or quietly working against you.
A generalist studio produces competent design for any client. A specialized one can tell you why your current identity is not performing even if it looks technically correct, and make each decision with clear strategic reasoning behind it. The difference between a branding studio and a generalist designer is not about scale or price. It is about method.
A good brand is born from a good conversation. That's why, before designing, I like to understand your business the way you understand it.

How to tell whether a studio understands your business before you hire them
There is a clear signal: if the studio asks you questions before showing you their process or portfolio, they are working correctly.
If the first thing they do is present their work without asking about yours, they are selling aesthetics, not strategy. It also matters what problems they have actually solved.
Not whether the portfolio looks good, but whether the type of client and challenge they have worked on resembles yours. You can browse By Grá Design's projects to get a realistic sense of the work we do and the type of business we work with.
The types of businesses we work with at By Grá Design
We help founders and entrepeneurs building something with intention who need their brand to match the actual value of what they offer. Service businesses that charge for knowledge and expertise, not only physical products. Hospitality concepts with a strong offer and a clear idea, but a visual identity that does not communicate it. Companies that have scaled and are still running on the brand they built when they started.
What they share is not the industry. It is the gap: something real that the current identity is not saying, or a new business that needs to be built for growth, not just aesthetics.
Case study
MyFriendCoffee had an excellent product, a distinctive menu, and a space with real character. The problem was visible from the street: the identity communicated the same visual codes as any conventional neighborhood café. The audience they wanted to attract did not come in because they could not read the proposition from outside. If people do not walk through the door, you never get to prove what you are worth.

The process covered brand positioning and a full redesign of the visual identity: storefront, packaging, and the complete graphic system. Not to follow trends, but to make what people saw from outside match what was actually inside. Once the perception shifted, visits came organically.
Nowadays MyFriendCoffee has three locations in Barcelona.
Preguntas frecuentes sobre estudios de branding
Do you only work with hospitality businesses, or with other sectors too?
Not only. MyFriendCoffee is one of the projects we can discuss publicly, and it is in hospitality. But at By Grá Design we also work with service businesses, consultancies, studios, and founders at launch stage. What they have in common is not the sector but the situation: there is real value that the current identity is not communicating.
What is the difference between specializing in a sector and specializing in a type of challenge?
A studio that specializes in restaurants runs the same type of project repeatedly. At By Grá Design, we specialize in a type of challenge: businesses where the current identity creates a gap between what the business actually is and what the client perceives. That challenge appears in hospitality, in professional services, in companies that have grown. The sector changes. The problem does not.
How do I know if my business is ready to work with a branding studio?
There are clear signals. When the clients you attract are not the clients you want to reach. When you feel your business is better than it appears from outside. When you hesitate to show your website in an important meeting. Those moments point to a gap between what you are and what you project. That gap is exactly what a strategic branding process addresses. Are you ready to grow?
Is naming part of the process or a separate service?
It can be part of the process when there is a name to resolve: either because the business is launching or because the current name no longer represents what the company does. The naming process includes creating the name with strategic criteria and legal validation with an Intellectual Property specialist. Both steps are part of the same service.
The gap between what you are and what you appear to be has a name. And it has a solution. We build the identity that makes your client choose you over everyone else.
